Our buddy Floating Points aka Sam Shepherd has had a great year. He gave us white labels of this track when he played at the party back in February. It hasn’t left my bag since. We’re playing with him in London in February at Plastic People. We can’t wait.
Only released as a 7″ on FXHE this one stayed under a lot of people’s radars. But this jam from Kai Alce is a classic to my ears.
Ostgut Ton had a big 2011 releasing so many great 12s from all the Berghain/Panorama Bar residents. The dub and the full vocal of Steffi’s ‘Kill Me’ featuring Elif Bicer on vocals get equal amounts of play on the Mister Saturday Night floor.
There have been quite a few Kink & Neville tracks released this year which could easily have made this list. Honorable mention goes to their Rush Hour 12″ ‘Full Flight’, but it’s their remix of the amazing DJ Sprinkles which did it every time.
