On The Way


Eamon and I have a biiiiiig order of records on the way (hopefully arriving in time for New Year’s Eve). The new Wolf Music EP, The Koze remixes of Caribou, and a great one from FCL are all in there; but the one we’re most excited about it the above Space Dimension Controller gem. Other Nights of the Week: Kafka, Cave and Koze


Here it is, folks. This week’s run down of what we’ll be doing or wishing we were doing. On Tuesday, a trio of contemporary composers takes the tiny stage at Joe’s Pub; on Wednesday a newly restored version of Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless is running at Film Forum; and on Thursday, the Phillip Seymour Hoffman who’s not an actor, but rather a drone musician, creates some sonic architecture at Glasslands.

We’re DJing the Down N Derby roller disco at Good Units on Friday, and on Saturday, while we’re up in Boston, DJ Koze and Isolee will be making beautiful things happen at Santos Party House. We’re hoping to make it back in time for BAM’s matinee of Metamorphosis, a version of the Kafka novella with a score by Nick Cave and Bad Seed, Warren Ellis.
