Bout Time: Mister Sunday in London, August 27th

The last time we did our own proper party in London was almost a year ago (in that big ol’ church in Hackney). But after a long search for a special place to do our thing in the Big Smoke, we’ve found it, and we’ve set a date.On Sunday, August 27th we’re taking over York Hall, a storied Victorian building in Bethnal Green with a nearly hundred-year-old basement bathhouse and a boxing gymnasium where Lennox Lewis and Audley Harrison have duked it out. We’re taking over the skylit main room for Carnival Sunday, installing a nice sound system, bringing way too many records, blowing up some balloons and getting the wood floors primed for an afternoon dance. The party goes from 4pm to 11pm.We’ll have drinks and food that won’t break the bank. Bring a friend or two, or come solo and make one. Tickets are here.

We’ll see ya soon.

Sunday, London Sunday

Picking up where we left off at the church of St. John at Hackney, the Mister is back at Oval Space in early April for our first Sunday party in London in 2016.

Those Sundays in Bethnal Green last year were loads of fun, so there’s no fussing with the formula – it’s soul food on the terrace, a toasty sound system with plenty of oversize balloons inside, and Eamon and Justin at the controls through the afternoon and into the night.

We get psyched about the above anyway, but the fact that it’s all correlated with the clocks springing forward has us more excited than ever about the prospect of another one of those sun-drenched dancefloor experiences…

So yes, the forecast is looking good from our side!

We’re looking forward to seeing you there. Basic info and a link to tickets is over on the right. If you’re not in London but know folks there, spread the word.

Hallelujah in London

We’re headed back to London, and this time, we’ve got something new up our sleeves.

We’re taking all the good times we had at Mister Sunday last year, moving them up to a beautiful medieval church in the middle of Hackney and switching around the days of the week for the first ever Mister Saturday party anywhere ever (note the lack of “Night” – we shall explain).

Misters Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin will be at the controls, and the Black Atlantic guys will be bringing in a six-point Funktion-One system to keep the audiophiles immersed in the details and the dancers popping right to the end.

The party goes from 5pm to 11pm (hence that omission of “Night” above – told you we’d explain); tasty food and quality drinks that won’t break your bank abound; and when the sun sets through those massive stained glass windows, it’s easily going to be the best time you’ll have in a church in 2016.

We’ve got plenty of space on the floor for the whole family (actual or spiritual), so let the homies know. Tickets are here.

If you’re in London, we hope to see you there; if you’re not but you know someone who is, let ’em know!

Mister Sunday, Back In London

uk-1108-751631-601086-backIt’s our last Mister Sunday of 2015, and it’s happening in London. Eamon and Justin, who’ve each taken a solo turn in the last two London editions of the Mister, will both be on hand for this one.

As usual, we’ll have jerk chicken on the patio, massive windows for the sunset, and plenty of seats and ping pong tables for the hang. Tickets are here. If you’re not in London but have friends there, let ’em know!

Mister Roller Disco

Eamon and Justin are playing this Thursday’s Boiler Room X Ray-Ban Roller Disco in Los Angeles with Danny Krivit, Nicky Siano, DJ Quik, ThundercatDāM-FunK and this guy.

The boys made a special Mister Roller Disco Mix to mark the occasion. Check it out!
